Notice of LINE:GUNDAM WARS Game Closure ※update

Thank you very much for playing LINE: Gundam Wars.

 

We regret to inform you that all service for LINE: Gundam Wars permanently ended at 3pm on Jun. 30, 2026 (GMT+9).

We wish first of all to express our gratitude to you, the players. It has been our pleasure to create a platform where you could enjoy games, and your support has made our efforts worthwhile.

In accordance with the Payment Services Act, Article 20, Paragraph 1, customers will be entitled to claim refunds as described below for prepaid payment instruments which they purchased and are remaining in their accounts (hereinafter referred to as paid-for prepaid payment instrument balance) at the time the game closes.

 

■ Issuer of prepaid payment instruments to be refunded

■ Types of prepaid items to be refunded

Any paid Diamonds (for use in LINE: Gundam Wars) or paid Coins (for use in LINE: Gundam Wars) that haven't been used by 3pm, Jun. 30 (GMT+9)  

 

■ Paid-for in-game currency unit prices

Amounts to be refunded will be calculated as follows:

Diamonds = JPY 40.00, Coins = JPY 0.02  

 

■ Refund application process

1. Access the Refund Application Form (located at https://refund.game.line.me) and log in using the mail address and password associated with your LINE account.

2. Select the game for which you wish to request a refund, and confirm that the amount shown is correct.

3. Enter your bank account information for the bank transfer, then submit the form. Note: if your outstanding balance was zero, then you will not be prompted to enter any bank account information.

   - Please access the form using a computer browser, as accessing it from a mobile device may cause it to not function properly.

 

■ To all players playing via a method other than LINE Login:

The instructions above are only for players using LINE Login.

In order to apply for a refund, players not using LINE Login will have to access the inquiry form via the link below. Please use the form to let us know that you wish to be refunded, making sure to include the game title in question in your message, and be sure to include the following information and the information from points 2. and 3. above.

In addition, your unique User identifier (ID) is necessary when you apply for a refund, so please be sure to include it in your inquiry. (You will need to have kept a record of it.)

 

If you don't know your unique User identifier (ID), please provide the folowing information when applying for a refund.

 

- Your in-game name (displayed at the top left of the Home screen), rank, information regarding owned units and their rarities (for units you've made S★1 or higher), and receipt information are necessary when you apply for a refund, so please be sure to include them in your inquiry.

・ Receipt information: Date of payment, payment number, payment amount, item name

  - Additional information may be requested after your application in order to help us identify the account.

■ Refund application period

From 3pm, July 7, 2026 to 3pm, October 5, 2026 (GMT+9)

- Any application forms received before or after this period will NOT be considered.

 

■ Refund process

Once we have completed the relevant procedures, we will refund the amount by transferring the value of any remaining paid-for in-game currency balance in Japanese Yen to the bank account you specify.

Money transfer fees, whether for national or international transactions, will be covered by us.

However, when transferring funds to overseas accounts, some additional fees may be levied. These include things like intermediary fees or currency exchange fees.

Unfortunately, we are unable to pay these fees.

- If you wish to make any changes to the information you provided on your Refund Application Form, simply fill out the form and submit again.

   We will only look at the last form you send us for your bank account information.

・ We will be unable to provide refunds in cases where illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized activities are associated with the application.

    - We may request that you submit documentation such as your personal identification and/or your purchase information in order to prevent actions including

but not limited to fraudulent applications for refunds, refund applications by third parties, duplicate refund applications, as well as the falsification of accounts and refund amounts.

   ・ Based on the status of your purchases, we may deem it appropriate to cancel some purchases instead of providing refunds for them.

- Countries other than Japan, Korea and Taiwan are not eligible for the Refund Application Form mentioned above.

We regret to announce that service for LINE: Gundam Wars will be closing soon. We would like to extend our sincerest apologies for the closure and gratitude to all players who have supported the service up until now.  

From 5pm, Apr. 20, 2026 (GMT+9), sale of in-game paid-for items (hereinafter referred to as in-game currencies) and prepaid payment instruments on LINE STORE will close permanently.  

If you already have the game app installed on your smartphone, you will be able to continue playing and using your in-game currency right up until service closure.

Please refer to the schedule below for further important dates related to the closure of service.

■ Types of prepaid items to be refunded

Unused balances of paid Diamonds and paid Coins you have at the time of the game closure (3pm, Jun. 30, 2026, GMT+9).

■ How to find your unused paid-for in-game currency balance

Go to Set > Purchase Information in the tab in-game.

- You are eligible if your balance includes any paid in-game currencies.

■ Paid-for in-game currency unit prices

Amounts to be refunded will be calculated as follows:

Diamonds = JPY 40.00, Coins = JPY 0.02

■ Refund application process

You must submit a Refund Application Form.

The URL for the Refund Application Form will be posted on the LINE GAME official blog and other locations no earlier than 3pm, Jul. 7, 2026 (GMT+9).

Only players using LINE Login to play are eligible to apply for refunds via the abovementioned Refund Application Form. Information regarding the refund application process for players using a method other than LINE Login to play will be announced at a later date.  

- Players logging in with methods other than LINE Login will need an ID when applying for refunds. Please write down your ID and keep it in a safe place ahead of time.

- ID refers to the numbers displayed at Home screen > Set > ID.

- If the Game ID you provide does not match your Game ID exactly, it may be difficult or even impossible for us to identify your game data and process your refund.

・ New downloads from both the App Store and Google Play will be terminated at 3pm, May 28, 2026 (GMT+9).  

  Once the game has been removed from the App Store and Google Play, you will no longer be able to re-download or re-install the game app in the event that you delete it from your smartphone.

・ In-game items can be used until the game closes.

・ Since it will no longer be possible to log in to the game after it has closed, if you wish to claim a refund, please make a note of your remaining paid-for in-game currency balance before this time. Your remaining paid-for in-game currency balance will be displayed on the refund application form.

・ If your paid in-game currency balance is saved via another OS, it will be totaled together when you request a refund.

・ Once we have completed the relevant procedures, we will transfer the value of any remaining paid-for in-game currency balance in Japanese Yen to the bank account you specify.

・ We will be unable to provide refunds in cases where illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized activities are associated with the application.
